Having fun with Grandpa and Grandma Gibby

The kids are enjoying their time with Grandpa and Grandma Gibby. They have been playing outside everyday in what snow they can find. They each made a snowman of sorts:) Marcus even shoveled Grandpa Gibby's sidewalks and enjoyed it. I don't know how long that will last if he had to do it everyday.

The kids love playing with their cousin, Hunter. He is so cute! He is quite taken with Marcus. I have a few cute photos of Hunter with the kids. They can't wait until Christmas. Hunter is enjoying attacking the presents and ripping off the bows. It's been nice to relax and basically do nothing. When we went to church it was so relaxing. I didn't have to do anything:) I have to say that was very nice. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Disneyland Fun!

We loved our time at Disneyland. We arrived last Sunday evening and immediately walked over to the park. It was packed because of the weekend, but we were so excited we didn't care. We got a fast pass for the Haunted Mansion and while we waited to redeem it we rode Splash Mountain. The kids loved it all. We stayed pretty late even though we were pretty exhausted from all the driving. We spent five days there. Some of the days were pretty bad weather, but on the bright side the lines were shorter because of it. We rarely used the fast pass since we could just walk up to the rides.

The kids loved Space Mountain the most. We rode that SO MANY TIMES. I was getting rather tired of it. I really liked California Adventure. We went there on Tuesday and loved the California Soaring ride. I highly recommend it. I didn't like the Tower of Terror. I don't like being dropped from high heights repeatedly. The kids, of course, loved it. It's hard to describe just how much fun we had. Maybe the photos I post will pretty much explain how we felt. It was wonderful. The kids had never been and Scott and I haven't been there since our honeymoon. I became pretty emotional the Sunday we first entered the park. I didn't think we would ever make it here. We had to postpone the vacation more than once. It was a long road to get there, but so worth the wait.

The day before we were to leave. Scott went down to the van to get something. He noticed the locks weren't working. He was finally able to get the driver's side open. When he tried to start the car. It was dead. No sound. Nothing. He tried to jump it, but it still wouldn't start. I was so worried. We were stuck in California with a dead car and had to check out of the hotel the next day by 11 a.m. Scott called a mobile mechanic that never showed up. Finally, he walked down the street to find a mechanic shop close by. He found one and they towed the van that late afternoon. The alternator and battery had to be replaced. Our vacation just got that much more expensive. Oh, well. I was so worried the van wouldn't be fixed in time to check out of the hotel. The Lord really blessed us and it was ready to go the next day by 11:30. The hotel management was very nice and didn't charge us an extra day. We had a late start getting to Grandpa and Grandma Gibby's, but finally made it around 11 p.m. We sat in some traffic in LA and were stuck on I-80 for 30 minutes going nowhere due to an accident. There was some snow on the sides of the road, but no ice. We made it to Reno safely albeit tired:)

Hello family and friends. Thought we send some Christmas cheer via our son Marcus. Enjoy! We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We are off to Disneyland tomorrow morning. The kids are so excited. After that we are visiting Grandpa and Grandma Gibby for Christmas in Neveda. Next will be my parents in Utah. The kids are going to love the snow.

Halloween at the Gibby's

I posted just a few:) photos of the kids and Halloween decorations. It was another fun year at the Gibby's for Halloween. As you can tell from our photos, we have a lot of fun with this holiday. Scott took great pride with the fact that he scared ten children so badly they wouldn't come to the door. The parents had to get the candy for them as they cowered in fear at the end of the driveway. We got loads of compliments along with the terrified children which is a success in our book. On the bright side, our children aren't scared of anything since they have such twisted parents:). It's all in fun! What a great holiday.
On the down side of having so many decorations is having to put them all away. To top it all off, we have a resident mouse and/or mice in our garage that are making a mess and ruined two of my prize tombstones. He or they chewed right through them. Nasty vermon. Scott has had no luck with mouse traps. They spring them, but don't get caught. Not only are they nasty, but also very smart. At least they are not inside my house...yet.
One of our guinea pigs died, a couple of weeks ago. This was a very sad day in the Gibby house. We loved Frodo dearly. We buried him in the back yard where we plan to make a fairy garden. Jared made a nice shrine of bricks on his gravesite. I am hoping to find some sort of guinea pig statue to put there. That might be hard to find.
I will try to get some video up soon of some more Halloween stuff. When I am downloading the video it's coming up with an error. I'll have to try later.

2008 Ren Fair

We had a great time going to the opening weekend of the Ren fair in Plantersville. The place was packed by the afternoon. We really liked the bag pipe show. It was sooo loud. The food was fabulous. We were exhausted by the end of the day. The place is so big you do a lot of walking.
